The bigest event in Hua Hin is now underway and we are ready for it! On 26 September 2015 Hua Hin will be hosting a grand opening ceremony of Rajabjaki Park, the giant statues of seven great Thai King.
We had a sneak peak on the biggest rehearsal of the opening ceremony last night ( 24 September 2015) which we were told that this is not a complete light and sounds just yet!
The real night will be better and bigger and better. Well we reckon the rehearsal was very impressive and we cannot wait the see the real one.The lights and sounds show is taking place at the from of Seven Great Kings Statues. The Maha Vajiralongkorn, Crown Prince of Thailand will be a proxy of the King Rama 9 in the opening ceremony.
The 40 mins show comprising 9 historical presentations with tons of excitements e.g. lazer technology, sound, 2300 actors and actress, white elephants, horses and more!
The show was stunning as well as the fireworks were very impressive!!
The 9 episodes lights and sounds show illustrate the history of each great Thai Kings which are
1. King Ram Khamhaeng. 1237/1247 – 1298
A forerunner of the modern Thai Kingdom in Sukhothai Kingdom. The show highlights his missions e.g. creating Thai Alphabets, establish Buddhism as the sate region of Sukhothai Kingdom and he create democracy system ruling his kingdom that was comparable to our current democracy.
2. Naresuan 1555 –1605
He was the King of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. He was given as a Thailand's most revered monarchs as he was known for his campaigns to free Thailand from the Bamars under the Taungoo Dynasty.
The statue of King Naresuan represent the victory and the freedom of Ayutthaya Kingdom.
3. Narai Ramathibodi III 1633 – 11 July 1688
He is the most famous King in Ayutthaya Kingdom. The lights and sounds show represent his talent and his prosperous in international trades and diplomatic management with Persians and the west.
I like this episode personally as it shows multi cultural actors and actress and modernized customs.
4. Taksin King of Thonburi April 1734 – April 7, 1782
A king of Thonburi Kingdom. After Ayutthaya Kingdom was invaded by Burmese,he established the city Thonburi as the new capital. You may recall his picture from Thai 20 Bath Note.
Taksin was given the title as Maharaj ( means the great) as he played a vital role in a great deal of attention to politics, administration, economy, and the welfare of the siam country(Thailand).
5.King Rama 1 Phra Phutthayotfa Chulalok (20 March 1737 – 7 September 1809)
King Rama 1 was the founder and the first monarch of the reigning House of Chakri of Siam. He establish a new capital called "Rattanakosin (now Bangkok)" as the new capital of the reunited kingdom. He also builded a grand palace an the temple in Bangkok to centralize Siam ( Thailand)
6.King Rama IV King Mongkut (18 October 1804 – 1 October 1868)
He was the fourth monarch of Siam (Thailand).

Rajabhakti Park
Hua Hin 7 wonders :The giant statues of seven great Thai kings
Hua Hin has launched a new tourist attraction and it’s bigger and faster than ever ! The new attraction is located opposite SEA Pine Garden, Hua Hin Thai army beach.
The King Rama 9 has given the name of this place " Rajabhakti “ means respect and immortalise of seven former Kings of Thailand.
Before I am going to give you more details about this park, I just want to make sure you pronounce it right! I bet all of you who has no experiences about THAI ( confusing) STYLE cannot pronounce it properly!
Rajabhakti is not literally pronounced Rat- ja- bak- ki. It’s pronounced “ Rat - Cha - Pak “ similar to Thailand’s airport - Suvarnabhumi airport it should pronounce Su- Wan - Na- Phum.
What is more some of Thai even on the net use " Ratchapakdi Park" This is very confusing!!
Rajabhakti Park has been initiated and partly established by Royal Thai military to honour past Thai monarchs and donated funds by Thais. This is the reason why this park has been builded rapidly (less than 6 months).
A bronze statue of seven Kings were builded in various places of 6 casting factories around Thailand and they were assembled successfully here in Hua Hin in mid August 2015.
From six casting factories in Nakhon Pathom, Lop Buri, Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani and Bangkok, where the statues were made, and transported to Hua in in pieces ,each statue has 13.9-metre-tall and six-metre-wide.
This gigantic park is located on 222 rai in an army compound near SEA Pine garden. This is also used for special ceremonies, exhibition centre and museum under the kings' statues to display the profiles and contributions of all former monarchs.
More knowledge and pactical infor about this park and Hua Hin we are happy to disscuss when you come here.
There are only 10 mins away from SEA Harmony Eco House and we are able to organise a day trip to Rajabhakti Parki and other tourist attractions nearby.

High tide is too bad??
High tide is too bad??
High tide is too bad?? If you think high tide around Takiab is too bad ............well let's s think again! There are many garbage (from travelers and from nature waste e.g. tree, garden and so on) are piling up along Hua Hin and beach that have not been collected to waste management. The wave and high tide play an important role to swipe all of them away resulting clean sandy beach!!
Normally the tide is not depend on the time, the moon and wind are contributing the change to the tide level. When you come to the Takiab beach next time and you are experiencing high tide let s think this is a beach cleaning time. Coming back and revisit next time, it will be a clean sandy beach for you!
Further question Where were all those rubbish gone?

Returning to my ex
"Returning to my ex(University)" Got you !! I guessed this heading grab your attention!
Yesterday Indy and I were invited to Silpakorn University for presenting our business ( SEA Harmony HuaHin Eco Lodge) and teaching a real-life experience on Business Management & Marketing. When I drove to the University area we felt very welcomed by all students and its environment, this also reminds me about good old day when I was studying in this University ( in Nakornpathom Branch) 13 years ago. The training sessions went well and I hope many students have now realized the essential of Marking Mix that play vital basic role in any kind of businesses.
Loy Kratong in HuaHin
Have you seen a lot of people are creating their own Krathong ( a litter boat ) today made from natural resources e.g. trunks of banana adorned with flowers or even bread boat that has been displayed in most shops in Thailand.

Reclining Buddha Statue
Around HuaHin Reclining Buddha Temple
For those who have interest in Buddhist and Thai meditation even Thai traditional massage probably heard about Wat Pho in Bangkok. There is famous golden reclining Buddha at Wat Pho where many tourists are coming to visit this temple for blessing and meditation. Not many people know that Hua Hin also has reclining Buddha image and good meditation place. This Reclining Buddha Statue is located at Bussayabunposh Temple at the back of Buddhist chanting chamber.
From SEA Harmony guesthouse you can take HuaHin Petchakasame Road toward HuaHin Train station and take right turn until you see roundabout before crossing the railway line. From this round about turn left and cross the railway line about 500 meters toward Hin Lek Fai outlook point. The reclining temple is on the right hand side before you go up to the hill.
