For those who visit Thailand, you may already had Tom Yom Soup in your “ must eat” list in Thailand. Most of restaurants and each kitchen around Thailand may present Tom their Yum soup in different way. This is because of their recipes, and local materials for making Tom Yom each areas relatively different and most important reason is personal preference and taste. Tom Yum Soup can be classified to two types; Tom You clear soup and Tom Yum Thick soup
- Tom Yum clear soup : this soup is clear and not contained milk of cream and normally use fresh bird eye chili
- Tom Yum Thick soup: this soup contains milk and chili paste. Even the name implies this Tum Yum as thick soup but it’s not creamy and thick as mushroom or pumpkin soup. The colour of his Tom Yum should be orange with a little bit of oil from cooked chili paste.
At our Eco Café Hua Hin we have Tom Yum Thick Soup with option of prawns, fish or chicken. Ingredients are also making a huge different we use local products such as swordfish and king prawns from Pramburi.
We use local fresh herbs from our garden e.g. lemongrass, kaffir lime, chili, lime, holy basil, chili and more that ensure that you have the best Tom Yum. Our Tom Yum Soup is not necessary burning your tongue, balancing the taste is a must, savour is dominant and citrus taste and smell from lime, kefir lime and lemongrass are essentials.

About a boy & Tortoises
Story that's making you smiles
For those who have been to our Sea Harmony eco house you may hear our tortoises stories from one of us. For those who has not been to our Hua Hin Eco House we have a happy story to share.Apart of Frenchies and fish, we also have five tortoises, two big tortoises ( Beetroot and Muffin) and three small baby tortoises ( Soufflé, Brookie and brownie ). Their favorite foods are grass, Blue Butterfly flowers and Mulberry leaves. They are really active working faster than our dogs and they are such a real eater in our house. They normally walk around and follow our guests hoping that they could have some food.
Every morning we have 6 year old boy his name is “ Chana” who is picking fresh Blue Butterfly flowers every morning and delivering to straight our house before he goes to school.Thus, we are setting a new campaign ( in the beginning it’s just for fun ) in our Hua Hin Eco House where our guests can buy Blue Butterfly flowers for feeding our tortoises. The money from tortoises food we put towards Chana’s piggy bank and saving money for him so that he use his own money without asking his parent. The photos and video below show how graceful of our guests that help Chana to l. earn the value of money. The total collection is 1200 B here is the messages from Chana, you can see how happy he is!! He also wants to tank you every who visit Hua Hin Eco house and help him for this campaign. We cerebrate his first saving money by taking him out for ice cream at Bluport

We used Arabica coffee beans from Thailand’s High Land Chang Mai and Cheng Rai where the cold climate accommodates Arabica beans. Our coffee beans were harvested from North and freshly roasted in Hua Hin.

Primitive Coffee
Primitive coffee is Asian style drip coffee style which is the old method that Asian ( Vietnamese, Lao, Burmese and Thai ) making coffee with condense milk. This Primitive coffee at our café taste smooth and congenial aroma and sweet which is different from others because we use old primitive coffee grinder drip on condense milk. The old primitive coffee grinder has been inherited from my uncle I cannot remember the year exactly I only can tell that it before 1970. It was imported from First Czechoslovak Republic which it can enhance coffee aroma by the mechanism inside the grinder use compress method rather than cutting with blade in our modern grinders. The best way to describe the taste our Primitive Coffee is Drink it.

Since 2011 SEA Harmony has been committing to create “ Home Away From Home “ atmosphere to our guests.
Our idea starts when myself (Node) and Indy were traveling experiences around Europe from 2008 to 2010, both of us wanted to find a decent house in Hua Hin to host our guests with homy feeling. Our guests can enjoy local lifestyle such as local Hua Hin food, Hua Hin old fishing village at Takiab, beautiful Hua Hin peninsula and beaches and most importantly our hospitality.
We had bought our first house from a talented painter who lived in Hua Hin for a long while, his name is Barry Daniel. You can also see his artworks at our house (perhaps next story I will be writing and show more about Barry’s paintings). I had resigned my work form Melbourne, Australia and stayed at this house for 3 months to get accustom to this house also started to designed, renovated and decorated by myself with my uncle. The design of SEA Harmony Eco House is very simple, I have used a lot of local and natural products from Takiab Village.
SEA Harmony Guesthouse is a real house where you can truly relax and enjoy a warm feeling of home atmosphere. More than just accommodations, at SEA HARMONY you will experience truly warm hospitability as well as our homemade cooking. Ferry Hua Hin Pattya Bagkok
We have been waiting so long for East - West Ferry Project that links Pattaya - Hua Hin - Pranburi and Bangkok network
Indy and myself took our Japanese and Thai friends for dinner near Pranburi last two weeks and we were told that the ferry from Pattaya will be coming soon! Most of locals who were doing sun- dried squids along Pak Nam Pran ( end of Pranburi Fishing Village) were moved away from the area. Dwellers told us that there will be a ferry station from Pattaya so fishingmen were moved away from this area! Together with rumor about Junta's transport minister and his team coming to inspect this area very often and also rumor about Hua Hin Ferry Station will be moved to Pranburi.
Recently SEP GROUP has revealed its latest plan for the East-West Ferry project, linking Bang Pu and Pattaya to Pran Buri, saying the Bt15-billion investment would have a multiplier effect for the Kingdom’s economy.

"Now we are ready to invest in the project, and a number of local and foreign firms have expressed interest in joining us," said Peerapong Prasopsukcharoen, development and planning manager for the group's Siam Eastern Industrial Park Co, who is responsible for the project.
He said the project would boost not only the national tourism sector but also rural economies. The multiplier economic effect was expected to be at least Bt16.5 billion, creating jobs valued at Bt1.8 billion a year, according to a study by the company.
The project was originally proposed by the civilian government of prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra in 2012. It was revived last year by the junta's transport minister, Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, now a deputy prime minister.
Siam Eastern Logistics Terminal Co, one of the SEP Group's companies, was proposed as a private developer of the project. In the middle of last year, Prajin instructed the Marine Department to speed up a feasibility study on the project, and complete it in 12-13 months instead of the normal time frame of 18 months. He argued that the study should not take long, as one had already been conducted in 2012.
According to Peerapong, the SEP Group led by Anantachai Kunanantakul, a real-estate tycoon in Samut Prakan province, has revised the ferry project's investment plan, putting the estimate at around Bt15 billion. Of that, about Bt9 billion would be for building of three ports in Bang Pu, Pattaya and Pran Buri, and the remainder for four mid-sized catamaran-style ferries.
The Pattaya-Pran Buri ferry service would shorten the distance between those two locations to 109 kilometres from 380km and cut the travel time to 1.5 hours from 4.5 hours, he said.
Under the revised proposal, Peerapong said the group had focused more on safety and convenience, using mid-sized catamaran ferries of 120 deadweight tons. Each would have capacity to carry up to 400 passengers, 30 cars, 12 motorcycles, and shipments not exceeding 40 tonnes. At full load, the ferry would have a 2.1-metre draft.
He said there would be 16 daily trips for the Pattaya-Pran Buri route and 20 for the Pran Buri-Bang Pu-Pattaya route.
"The ferry fare would be about Bt1,000 each per trip for passengers and Bt3,000 for a car for the Pattaya-Pran Buri route," said Peerapong, adding that the group expected a total of 2.8 million passengers a year.
He said the ferry service would be operated by a newly established firm, Siam Eastern Logistics Co, while the three ports would be run by Siam Eastern Logistics Terminal Co.
The port to be constructed in Bang Pu, Samut Prakan, would be located in the group's K-City complex, he said. The Pattaya port would be located in Ban Amphur, and Pran Buri's in Pak Nam.
The group proposed that it operate the ferry service for 30 years, after which all three ports would be transferred to the state.
According to ThaiVisa also talk about this project that;
Terminals will be built at Pattaya (Ban Ampher), Bang Pu (K-City) in the Samut Prakarn area and Pranburi (Pak Nam).
Four mid size catamaran style ferries will be used.
In addition to the direct service between the eastern seaboard and Pranburi there will also be 20 trips a day plying the Pranburi - Bang Pu - Pattaya route.
Project manager Pirapong Prasopsukcharoen said that the project will be a boon not just for tourism coffers but the overall economy expecting it to add 16.5 billion baht to the economy and 1.8 million baht to labour markets.
Plans had originally been mooted in the Yingluck Shinawatra government days but these have now been fast tracked.
Investment will come from SEP as well as other Thai and foreign investors. Some 15 billion baht will be used to build the three terminals and provide the ferries. Siam Eastern Logistics Co will be set up to run the ferry services themselves while Siam Easter Logistics Terminal Co will run the ports. After 30 years the ports will come into the hands of the state.
In addition to the weight of passengers and vehicles, 40 tons of other goods will be able to be carried.
No date has yet been set for the start of the operation.
